Back to School....

I took a few pictures of my friend's little girl and Maddy wanted to come along. She never wants her picture taken, so when she said to take pics of her, of course I had to do it!! I can't believe next week is school already. This summer has flown by. I didn't accomplish anything or go anywhere.....well, at least I'm caught up on my shows! Now, if only I could talk the boys into taking a few pics.....

Maddy's Graduation

Well, my little girl is no longer my baby....she is going to kindergarten! I just can't believe it. They had a country graduation this year, and the kids did great. These are Maddy's awesome teachers. Ms. Stacey is the best! She is so kind and loving, and has so much patience with these kids. You will be missed!!! Sam is her buddy. They have been inseparable since they were about 2. They are going to get married someday they say....we'll see about that!

Easter Day

Wow...I can't believe it, I actually got a halfway decent picture of all the kids....
We enjoyed the day by going to church, eating lunch at Joyce's, then hunting egss and taking pics. Now off to get groceries. Have a great Easter!!!

Easter Eve....

We started the day off at church to celebrate with our annual egg hunt. Lots of kids there. Always lots of smiling faces! love it! We came home and dyed eggs. This is the second time doing it, and Maddy thought she was a pro. She was double dipping eggs to make new colors, and then she put stickers on them. Such a fun time watching her light up.....now a nap. Yeah right, like that will happen!

Dickerson Park Zoo

First of all....I love this picture! I just can't quite explain it, but it's so cute. My friend and I took our kids to the Springfield zoo on Tuesday. It was so beautiful, and the zoo was nice. Not anything like San Antonio Zoo....but nice. Maddy is so loving giraffes and the zoo had a new baby, so we had to go meet him. We went to ToysRUs after and got a stuffed giraffe to remember our day. I love days like this.

My Baby.....is 5!

So today is sweet Madelyn's fifth birthday. We had purplicious cupcakes and homemade pizza. She had a great day and got new things to play with. Tomorrow we will go to Mamaw's house for more cake and gifts. She is making a mermaid cake.....I'm sure Maddy will love it. We haven't done anything much today except chill out and spend time together. Looking forward to next week.......Spring Break!

Scrappin' my day away...

This is my latest masterpiece. I have been stuck lately, so I decided if I started making things for other people....I'd get inspired again. It worked. My friend and I traded supplies and made each other a book. Very challenging, because we tried to make it hard. We chose items that we have had for awhile, and I have to say, I am very pleased with the outcome. The whole project took me around four hours. I decided that a book exchange would be fun between scrappers....so if any of you who read this (Sara), want to join....let me know. We have four girls right now. It's fun to see others talent and different styles, plus it's helps bring you out of a rutt....happy scrapping!

Pinkalicious!

Maddy's favorite book right now is Pinkalicious. It's about a little girl who loves pink and one day her and her mom make pink cupcakes. She eats so many, that she turns pink. In order to get back to normal, she has to eat green veggies...it's really a great book. Maddy about has it memorized. Today we make pink cupcakes. I enjoy cooking with Maddy...I hope she never out grows wanting to spend time with me. Happy Valentine's Day from Maddy and me!

That's a lot of snow...

WOW!!! It hasn't snowed like this in years! It is so beautiful. Yesterday as it was falling...all we could do is keep checking the window and saying it's still snowing?!!! Crazy. The kids haven't got out too much, yesterday they started a snowman and they are out there now to finish. Maddy doesn't want anything to do with it. I wish I could find my Carharts because I really want to walk around and take some pics. I love snow.

My Pals...

I can't say enough about these ladies....these are my bestest friends and they are very dear to me. Each one has special characteristics that I adore. Let's start with....Kelly. She was the first of the bunch that I met. At first she was bossy, and mean, but then I realized...she was just like me!!!! We get along fine, and she is usually in a good mood and smiling...I like that. Next is Tana. I think of her as my mom. She is loving, caring, thoughful, and she helps me stay out of trouble. Then there is Amy. She is very kind, sweet and giving. She thinks of others often, and tries to make them feel special. And then there is Chrystal. She is new to us, but we still think she is the greatest addition to our clan. She is polite, quiet, and understanding. We all like to eat, scrapbook, and just spend time together. We are "The Fab Five" and I love these gals!!! I'm fortunate to have all kinds of friends.....

My friend's wedding

This is my friend Lindsey. I haven't known her long, and we work at school together. I was asked to be the bridesmaid, and Maddy was asked to be the flower girl. She had a simple home wedding and it was lovely. I have been 3 bridesmaids in my life, and I have enjoyed each wedding. Friends are so important in our lives. Lindsey is very sweet and fun to be around. She lets me be "me", and she doesn't complain. She has a contagious laugh...she is a great friend. Hope you have a wonderful life together! I am glad we are friends!

Baby it's COLD outside!

My poor animals. Bucko is so darn cold out there. Despite the bitterly cold temps...he continues his daily duties of sleeping, eating, herding the horses, sleeping, herding the horses, napping, herding the horses...you get the picture. He is no inside dog, a few minutes inside and he is ready to go out again. I sure love this old dog!

Christmas Album...

One of many albums I am working on with all these snow days....
I have completed albums for most everyone now...I just need to get to Walgreens to get my pics to put in them!
Darn snow....I mean...lovely snow. I truly do love it. I have rearranged my scrap area, and I am trying to get "organized". This will be a very hard task for me. I really need an all day crop Sara...we might just do one and you can come after Conor's game?????

Snow con't.....

What fun the silly kids are having outside. I love the snow....love sipping hot cocoa....love seeing rosy red cheeks when they come in from outside...love reading my books...and love scrapping on a cold winter's day! Out of school tomorrow, which is good because our road is still bad. Stay warm this week...it's gonna get cold!
